The House :
Situated on a small road between village and lake 'La CasaNova' is the ideal vacation home for the complete family, two small families or a small group. The house has 120 m2. The 2000 m2 property with old trees back in the garden borders directly on a nature reserve. The lake of Leon (Lac de Leon) is at about 700 yards from the house. The situation is even in high saison generally very quiet. The atlantic beaches are at about 8 kilometers by car in Moliets, Pichelèbe or Arnaouchoc.
The house is conceived for self-catering. The fully epuipped american kitchen with dish washer, 4 ring gas stove and oven, two fridges, coffee maker, toaster etc. opens to a spacious and bright dinning- and living area with open fireplace. French windows open to a small breakfeast terrace and to the big south terrace on the backside overlooking the garden and the forest of the nature reserve called 'Courant Huchet'. Here real vacation peace is guaranteed. Garden furniture, parasol, barbecue and sandpit are at your disposal - old trees for some shadow if required.
Each of the three sleepingrooms grouped around the bathroom are meant for two persons and have about 14 m2. The french double beds in all sleepingrooms are 160 to 200 cm big. All beds are equipped with pillows and covers and a set of linen for every booked person. Two of the bedrooms are situated at the forest side of the house and so can be said to be very quiet. If necessary a seventh person could sleep in the livingroom area - the sofa converts to a perfect single bed. We provide a baby's bed if needed.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtube with integrated shower cabin, basin and toilette. We do not provide towels. A seperate room - laundry room so to say - is equipped with a washingmachine to avoide noises in the livingroom area and the central heating (gaz), which prepares the hot water and quick allover warmth on chilly evenings. The hole living area has a comfortable wood flooring. Most of the wooden furniture is handmade and ecologically treated, like the floor is. The house was entirely renovated in 2007. We omitted entertainment electronics on purpose - please bring your own, if you need them. Bikes can be rented in the village (700 yd).
The Village :
Leon is situated 3.5 miles from the beach surrounded by the landaisian woods, which are kind of wild between La Casa Nova and the sea. Leon is famous for its natural reserve. Starting at the lake of Leon you might take a boot trip through a jungle like ambiance downstream the 'Courant Huchet' to its delta at Moliets Plage. Leon itself is a typical coastal village with an historical center around a market place. In summer a regional products market is held every day. Supermarket, bakery, seafoodstore, bicycle-rental. surfshop, postoffice, bank and mutch more is at pedestrian raech (700yd). Restaurants and bistros are found in the center, at the lakeside and in every nearby village.
There is no 'leon beach' because between village and beach there is the lake. In this flat sweetwater lake bathing, sailing, rowing, windsurfing and pedalo riding is possible.
The Beach :
The beaches are a couple of minutes away by car. More sportive you could get there by bike on comfortable cycle tracks through the woods. Moliets Plage offers everything a certified beach can offer from life-guards to surfschools. Pichelèbe and miles of wild beach offer the contrary: there you are on your own at one of the most beautyfull beaches of europe. Arnaouchoc (Vielle-Saint-Girons) has lifeguards, but that's it. Messanges plage (7 miles) is very recommended as well.
Surf :
The best surf conditions in Europe! Specially the main spots: 'La Nord' and 'Les Estangnots' near Hossegor are said to be the most powerfull beachbreaks of the north atlantic. Hossegore is 25 kilometres south of Leon. Best conditions are in autum - up to 18 feet. Molites, Messanges, Pichelèbe, Arnaouchoc and all other near by beaches offer very good surfing conditions as well and these beaches are suitable for beginners too. If you are interested in a surf course we could pass informations on surf school programms and pricing. If you book a surf course in Messanges through us you'll get a reduction of about 10%.
Sports and Leisure :
Nearby a lot of other sportive activities and recreational facilities are offered. Besides horse riding at the beach, tennis, fishing, canoeing, roller blading and much more the numerous golf courses have to be mentioned. The nearest one is in Moliets about 3.5 miles away directly at the sea - 18 and 9. The small cours is open for players without handicap too. There are other courses in Vieux Bouceau ( 10 miles), Seignosse (14 miles), Hossegor (16 miles). The pricing especially offseason is very competative. Moliets is said to be one of the most beautyfull golf courses in europe.
Destinations in the near vicinity for every type of interest and the Pyrenees are close by. Get more info on demand when we meet.

The shown prices include up to 6 persons. We charge 50 € per week for each additional person. Children under the age of one year are free ! The costs for the "final cleaning" are at 70 € per contract. The prices are including all extras: linen, electricity, water, gas for cocking and hot water.
